It is now standard practice for museums and libraries to have a website to support public interaction with the institution. Most library and museum websites feature dedicated virtual spaces for children, however many of these sites are not specifically designed for this target market. Young Readers Circle is an online database of children's literature that has been articulated in the form of an interactive illustrative website. The project uses the main feature of the Internet: the possibility of ongoing connections, by promoting a virtual community.
This feature allows the user to explore the map of the community, to find new books and testimonials from others as well read and submit personal comments. To provide a meaningful interactive experience, the project will focus on a detailed analysis of content, medium and audience.
